Lifestyle | Naughty But Nice Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Yesterday I posted a picture of my chocolate chip cookies  on Facebook, and it became so popular I decided to share with you how I made them!

To be honest, it's not much of a secret, I just adapted a recipe from Tanya Burr's - Tanya Bakes! And replaced the cocoa powder, with my chocolate protein powder... I told you, it's not really a secret!

All you need is

  • 100grams of Unsalted butter
  • 50grams of stevia sweetener (originally golden caster sugar)
  • 150grams of self raising flower
  • 50grams of Chocolate protein powder (originally 25grams of cocoa powder)
  • A splash of Almond milk (originally just milk)

  • All you do, is whack it all in a bowl, mix it all together until it looks relatively dough-like, then you roll them in your hands into a bowl, put them on a baking tray, and press it down with a fork.

For the full recipe you can look for Tanya Bakes on Amazon UK! I've had so much fun over the past few weeks baking all kinds of things from her book! (All of which were boyfriend approved taste-wise, so we're definitely onto a winner!).

The original cooking time in the recipe says 15 minutes, but because of my substitutions they took about 25, but just keep checking on them, and make sure they're not doughy in the centre, and you'll be good to go!

They need to cool on a baking tray once they're out of the oven. If you don't, you'll eat one too soon and it'll burn your tongue... twice maybe if you don't learn...

The recipe also said you'd get about 15 from the mix, but I always find that you get more than that with Tanya's recipes. With this mix alone i got 24!

There's only about 5 left since baking them last night but that's clearly because the neighbours smelt them while they were baking and broke into the house while we were sleeping and stole them... obviously...

    Happy Baking!
